Pets give unconditional love and companionship and ask for very little in return but we know as pet owners ourselves, that we want to give as much back to them as possible in return for their loyalty. They deserve the best care and it is important that when you entrust your pet to a pet sitter, that you feel that this exactly what they will get. You may want to go to away for a weekend or just a day, but rarely go because of your pets.
You may feel that you are imposing on family, friends or neighbours to care for your animals when you can’t be there or perhaps they do not want the responsibility of looking after someone else’s pet.
It may be that a physical disability or illness is preventing you from exercising your pet as often or as intensely as needed.
If you have a senior dog or puppy, it may be much happier to have a visit during the day so that it can stretch its legs in the garden and have a bit of company to break the day up.
Sometimes things happen and you may have to work late, or need an emergency visit to let you dog(s) out or to have your cat feed.
Dogs can get anxious if left on their own too long without something to do or to break up their day and in some instances this may lead them to them being destructive.
Some cats get stressed out by catteries and this can make them susceptible to all kinds of illnesses. They are territorial and like their own familiar surroundings, so these cats are much happier staying at home and having someone pop in to see them throughout the day.
